Some good MLS action is on hand for tonight and there are some interesting things to look for.
For a friendly match at 7:30pm EST we have the future MLS Franchise Montreal Impact vs. the always entertaining New York Red Bulls. Latest reports suggest Rafa Marquez may miss the match due to injury but there are plenty of names to look for on the NY roster. The best part? The match will be streamed live and for free courtesy of the Impact. Doesn’t get better than that folks.
More after the jump.
In league play we’ve got a fun one at 7:30pm EST, Los Angeles at Philadelphia. Some unique storylines coming out of this one as we have Carlos Ruiz essentially saying that the Galaxy don’t have what it takes to hang with the Union. Furthermore we have the decision to leave David Beckham at home and Landon Donovan saying its all good without him. Bruce Arena is going to have to work some magic to take points away from a high flying Union at PPL Park.
Later in the evening at 9:00pm EST FC Dallas takes on Toronto at Pizza Hut Park. The now Ferreira-less Dallas will have to show they have what it takes to compete against a Toronto team that’s just coming off an emotional win. One does question though the wisdom of having a mid-week game in Frisco where attendance is a constant struggle. Those Dallas fans who don’t attend are missing out though, it’s a beautiful stadium.
Last game on tap is Vancouver playing host to San Jose at 10pm. Really, with Vancouver on the board you know you’ll find something to see there. Packed stadium, wild fans and there seems to never be a game without drama when it comes to the Whitecaps. Tune in.
All three league games can be found on Direct Kick or Matchday Live. A quick note: Matchday Live remains the absolute best way to see MLS games for the money you pay.
